About the project
Dorling Kindersley are producers of Eyewitness Travel, one of the world’s leading travel guide series. Cogapp worked with DK to provide Eyewitness Travel with a new outlet on the iPad – a device that could have been designed to showcase its trademark visual appeal.
Starting with the Eyewitness Guide to Paris, we worked with DK to design a new interactive and visual language for the guides and to devise a publishing process that turns the content of the books into the contents of an app with minimal manual intervention. There are now nine different Eyewitness Travel city guide apps available in the App Store.
The DK Eyewitness Paris iPad app was selected as an Official Honouree for the Travel Category in the 15th Annual Webby Awards.
