Jon White

Jon specialises in front-end technologies. He has over 10 years experience in developing accessible and responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, React and other front-end frameworks. He regularly works with both bespoke and open source MVC PHP frameworks and CMS platforms.

Joining Cogapp in 2015, and coming from a background that blends creative and technical disciplines, Jon delights in creative problem solving and using his skills to bring ideas to life. Some examples include pushing the boundaries of online storytelling using IIIF with Storiiies, and creating 'Share Your Story' for Canadian Museum for Human Rights, which collected and shared people’s experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jon’s expertise has also been fundamental to our work with the Visual Commentary on Scripture, the Peck Collection and Arabian Gulf Digital Archive and many other projects.

Outside of work Jon likes to get away from the screen, where he's nerdy about building keyboards, finding nice places to drink specialty coffee and craft beer, and knitting.
